Lunch: Spinach salad with feta cheese, sunflower seeds, balsamic vinaigrette and olive oil, raisins, hummus, and chickpeas - 200 calories
Snack: 100 calorie pack Yogurt covered pretzels - 100 calories
Dinner: Medium baked potato with cheddar cheese and scallions, spinach salad with cucumbers, celery, chickpeas, red beans, and light Italian dressing, 2 pieces of nan bread with mango chutney - 610 calories
TOTAL CALORIC INTAKE: 1300
Breakfast: Trader Joe’s high fiber muffin - 270 calories
Lunch: 2 scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes, 1 1/2 piece of toast, and roasted brussel sprouts - 410 calories
Dinner: 6 pieces of veggie sushi and seaweed salad - 200 calories
Snack: 4 pieces of dried Mango, a handful of peanut butter pretzels, and some sesame honey almonds - 290 calories
TOTAL CALORIC INTAKE: 1170
But it’s a good thing. A month off for winter break was way too long, in my opinion, because it went from constant stimulation and friends and studying and brainpower to doing absolutely nothing. And i’m not happy when i’m doing nothing. I get very cranky. I prefer to be busy and intellectually stimulated.
Anyways, today I went and got some snacks from Trader Joe’s for my dorm room and they look so yummy I want to eat them all now! They consist of:
Dark Chocolate Covered Blueberries
Soft & Juicy Dried Mango
Peanut Butter-Filled Pretzels
Dried Tart Green Mango
Sesame Honey Almonds
The Dark Chocolate Lover’s Chocolate Bar, 85% Cacao
Yay! Sounds delicious. They’re good snacks to last me a while, and are mostly protein to get me through late nights or to snack on before a workout. I can’t wait to get back into a routine.
Breakfast: Large cup of coffee and smoked salmon with cream cheese on a whole grain Ezikiel english muffin - 250 calories
Lunch: Vegetable gyoza, a tuna and avocado roll, and green tea - 370 calories
Snack: 1/2 Organic whole grain muffin with green tea, and 1 and 1/2 almond cookie - 240 calories
I went to yoga again yesterday, but I won’t be happy until I can do this!
Breakfast: 1/2 Bialy with peanut butter and jelly, other 1/2 with butter and a bit of honey - 220 calories
Snack: Chobani Greek yogurt with some GoLean crunch sprinkled on top - 130 calories
Lunch: Annie’s Vegetarian Burrito - 300 calories
Snack: 3/4 cup GoLean crunch cereal with 1% milk, green tea - 140 calories
Dinner: There was nothing to eat in my hoooouuussee…. 1 slice of whole grain toast with 1 boiled egg, 1 morningstar veggie patty and 3/4 cup of black bean soup - 470 calories
Snack: 3 slices of Raisin bread - 240 calories
TOTAL CALORIC INTAKE: 1500 calories
So I’ve lost about 2 pounds, says my Wii Fit (I don’t know whether to trust it or not!!), and if that’s true then that’s a great thing! But I’m also feeling my progress in other ways. Since I’ve been starting to do my strength routine more frequently, I’ve felt my legs get significantly stronger. 50 squats and 50 lunges will definitely do it to you! My butt’s also getting tighter, so now I just need to see some fat loss. Yay! I’m excited.
